Olivia's 18th Birthday card

My daughter has just recently moved to Philadelphia for her Preprofessional year at a full time ballet school. This is the card I made for her upcoming birthday. Not all SU products (sorry). This was my first real play with my new alcohol markers, I need to practice my shading.

So many candles

My niece turns 25 today! I think she feels she is getting old!
I thought this card still had a childish feel to it.

The Open Sea - notepad

I made this notepad to go with my brother's birthday card.
I washed some Midnight Muse across the Natural White cardstock. I then stamped the anchor, compass and the globe in Versamark and Baked Brown Sugar and clear embossed them. The sailing boat I coloured with SU markers. Alphabet die (r) for the "notes" and Chrystal effects over the top to give it a nice shiny glossy look.

The Open Sea

This is the card I've made for my brother's birthday.
Ian is a lover of the water and loves his sailing.
He was asked to sail in the Sydney to Hobart this year but for various reasons it wasn't possible.
I hope he gets the opportunity again and is able to do it, what a great experience it would be.

Birthday cards

My sister made this lovely Joy fold card for Livy. She's used the most beautiful paper for our ballerina.

Daydream medallion - 16th Birthday Card

This is the card I've made for Olivia for her 16th birthday which is today. (I cased this card from www.pattisstampingstudio.blogspot.com)
Livy is my harshess critic of my cards, telling me if something is crooked or not centred. So you can I imagine the pressure I feel making her card each year. I have studied my card intensely and I think it is fault free!
Olivia has had a busy and exciting week. She auditioned for a full time selective ballet school - Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy on Monday and has been accepted into the full time programme for 2014. She did her Advanced 1 ballet exam at the RAD at Darlinghurst on Wednesday. We are so proud of her and her achievements, she has worked so hard to make her dreams turn into reality. Still a long way to go but she is happy to work hard and keep pursuing them.
Happy Birthday Livy, have a lovely day.

My Digital Studio

These are my first samples of playing with My Digital Studio.
No embellishing or tweeking just plan old photos.
These are some photos from Matt's Year 12 formal in 2011.
I think I'm going to have lots of fun with this new style of scrapbooking.

Proud Mother Moment

This is my beautiful daughter, some amazing images captured at a recent photo shoot with her dance studio and one whilst performing her classical solo at a recent eisteddfod.
Had to share as I'm so proud of her.

My Jazz Dancer

My Novembers are sooooo busy with Olivia's dance concerts,
extra rehearsals, photo days as well as her normal classes 4 nights a week and Saturday mornings.
It is all worthwhile when you see her dance in her concerts though.
She is absolutley amazing.

"Stamping Down"

This was the birthday card my brother made for our Mum's 80th.
He said that he was feeling the pressure with the cards
that my sister and I send and he felt he needed to show what he could do.
He said he's calling himself "Stamping Down"!
My Mum used to sail in her early 20's a boat called a Bluebird.
Ian drew it exactly and wrote accordingly.
He advised Narelle and I that he didn't require all the product
that we have.  Just a set of pencils.
Family.....you've got to love them.

Happy Day!

My dear old Dad received some good news this week.
After 8 months of chemotherapy, PET scans, CT scans, blood tests,
we received the news from his Oncologist that Dad's lymphoma has
gone to sleep, is in remission.  We now watch and wait with 3 monthly
CT scans.  The doctor advised him she won't be able to say he's cured
for 10 years.  Dad will be 92 then....so he says the "partying" starts
now and we celebrate now!!!  Love you Dad. xxx

Mark's Birthday Card

It's Mark's Birthday today.
This is the card I made for him.
One of the benefits of being an SU demonstrator is having access to
"Stampin Connections" this is a facebook like site where demonstrators can
share their thoughts and ideas.
This is a CASE from Janelle Van der Veer.
Thanks for the great idea using "Need for Speed."
Mark was going to be in Russia on his birthday but his trip has been postponed for
a few weeks which meant he was able to see our Olivia dance at her first Sydney Eisteddfod.

All SU Products used.
Stamp sets: Need for Speed, Sincere Salutations.
Cardstock: Real Red, Night of Navy and Whisper White.
Accessories: Regals DSP, Night of Navy 1/4" grossgrain ribbon,
Scallop Oval punch and Wide oval punch.
Ink: Real Read and Night of Navy.

Wedding Anniversary

My Hubby and I celebrated our 29th!!! (OMG) Wedding Anniversary earlier this month.
This is a "Shaker" card I gave Mark.
I made this card long before my SU days,
therefore, no SU product used here!
I haven't made a shaker card for ages, must give another one a try.

Queen Street Mall, Brisbane

Livy and her shoe shopping!!!

Heels seem to be the flavour of the month -
is this because she is on her toes so much of the time?

Aaahhh some sensible joggers!!! or not.

Now these are some heels that could do some damage!

She came away with a new pair of thongs - Havaianas from City Beach :)
A ride on a ferry and also the City Cat.

More Paper Piecing Cards

This time I used the Timeless Christmas Designer Series Paper and the Swirls of Magic embossing folder for my card. I heat embossed a sentim...
