Bubble Wrap Technique - The Open Sea

 

Bubble Wrap technique is another fun technique I tried on the weekend.

Ink up the bubble wrap with the Whisper white ink and place over the Navy Cardstock and gently pat being careful not to pop any of the bubble wrap. Simple as that.

 

All products are SU:

Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Night of Navy

Inks: Craft White Ink, Crumb Cake, Tip Top Taupe

Stamps: The Open Sea, Teeny Tiny Sentiments

Accessories: 2 1/2" circle, Word Window punches,

Modern label punch (R), Bakers Twine, White Jute ribbon, Basic Silver button.

Masculine Stamp-a-stack

Male cards are the most challenging for some of us.

Come and make 6 cards, 3 designs, 2 of each design.

You can make some of them Father's Day cards if you like and some male birthday cards.

Traveller and The Open Sea

Another card using the Traveller with The Open Sea this time, these 2 stamp sets go together so well.

I got the sketch from Pinterest - Karen Leveille. I changed it around a bit.

I'm really pleased with how this card turned out.

I'm doing a bit of family tree research and finding out all kinds of interesting things.

One set of great grandparents were convicts and transported here for stealing an Apron.

Another set of great grandparents appear to be free settlers.

I know they probably didn't sail on ships like this but the card does transport me back in time

.

All SU products:

The Open Sea - notepad

I made this notepad to go with my brother's birthday card.

I washed some Midnight Muse across the Natural White cardstock. I then stamped the anchor, compass and the globe in Versamark and Baked Brown Sugar and clear embossed them. The sailing boat I coloured with SU markers. Alphabet die (r) for the "notes" and Chrystal effects over the top to give it a nice shiny glossy look.

The Open Sea

This is the card I've made for my brother's birthday.

Ian is a lover of the water and loves his sailing.

He was asked to sail in the Sydney to Hobart this year but for various reasons it wasn't possible.

I hope he gets the opportunity again and is able to do it, what a great experience it would be.
