For those not on Facebook (with me) here are a few pics of our trip to Adelaide so far.Matt swam his 100m backstroke event yesterday. He won his heat and swam a 1 second Pb with a time of 1.00.55. He improved his ranking from 76 to 56 in Australia. He was very happy with his swim as indicated by the huge smile from pool deck. He is in his element at these kinds of meets, soaking up the atmosphere and chatting with the "top notch" swimmers. He swims his next event on Monday, the 200m backstroke.
Matt's other sporting passion is cricket. He gave his cricket up to pursue his swimming. He was instantly attracted to the memorabilia of Sir Don at Adelaide airport.Whilst in Adelaide Matt had to do an online test for Uni. Thank goodness our accommodation had free wi-fi. He was able to complete the 30 minute test via the internet straight to the Uni HUB site. The wonders of technology!!!
Thanks for sharing, seeing i am not on facebook, lol. Well done Matt, how exciting. All that training is paying off. I was wondering about Uni, it's great he could do the test online. Goodluck for Monday.
