Make it Monday - Twisted Pop Up card

Cardbase: 4 1/2" x 11" - scored at 5 1/2" 

Pop Up Mechanism: 3" x 8" score at 4" on the long side and 1 1/2"on the short side.

Focal Piece: 3 3/4" x 11" scored at 2 3/4", 5 1/2" and 8 1/4".

DSP for Front and inside: 4 1/4" x 5 1/8" x 3 pieces.

Inside focal panel: DSP: 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 4 pieces. Card: 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" x 2 or 4 pieces depending on how you want to decorate.

Card Front: decorate as desired.

1. Pop Up Mechanism: Put a pencil mark at 2 1/2" from each corner, top and bottom edge of card stock on both ends. Score an X from pencil mark to pencil mark diagonally.
Fold and score the score lines. (see video for how to fold the pop up mechanism).

2.  After attaching your DSP to the card front and on the inside panels, mark the centre point on the fold of the card base at 2 1/4". This is where the point of the pop up mechanism will be lined up and attached with glue. (see video tutorial).

3.  Decorate the Focal piece as desired using the DSP layers and then cardstock layers.

4.  Concertina the focal panel back up making sure the last panel is on top and facing the correct way. Line it up centred on the top of the inside of the card.

5.  Apply Tombow glue to the the pop up mechanism in the right hand corner and press over and down onto the focal panel.

6.  Move the focal panel so that the first panel is under the pop up mechanism and apply Tombow glue to the left hand corner of the pop up mechanism and press the focal panel down. Wait until the glue adheres. (see video tutorial)

7.  Decorate the front panel as desired.
