An afternoon on Brisbane Waters

Yesterday Mark and I went to his work -Industrea Mining Technology - christmas party. It was a lunch time cruise on Brisbane Waters. Mark and I have lived on the Central Coast for 23 years and we have never been on Brisbane Waters before. We cruised by East Gosford, Point Frederick, Green Point across the bay to Koolewong, Woy Woy, Booker Bay under the Rip Bridge and down to Ettalong and Ocean Beach where we turned around and retraced pretty much the same track. It was a lovely relaxing afternoon after a very stressful week. My Dad finally got a diagnosis after all the tests and scans he's had done. He has Stage 3A Lymphoma. The week ahead involves more tests, bone marrow biopsy, CT scans and a Heart Scan then back to the Oncologist to review all results and start Chemotherapy early next week. At 82 next week it's hard to see him going through such a tough time looking so frail from all the weight he has lost. I'm not looking for a miracle, it's just a difficult time.
