Heat embossed Brusho Powders.

Another pair of cards using the Brusho powders.
The left hand card I cased from Debbie Henderson a SU demo in the USA.

The decorative mask card I placed the mask over the watercolour paper and dabbed the Versamark inkpad over the mask. Then add white embossing powder and heat set using the heat tool.
Then sprinkle the Brusho powders over the watercolour paper, spritz with water and let the powders mix and run and spread, dab excess water with paper towel. Attached to base card and finish with a greeting.

The You Got This flower card I stamped the flower image using Versamark ik onto Shimmer paper and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then put a sprinkle of the Red and the Green Brusho powders into an artist's palette and using an aqua painter I coloured the stem, leaves and flower. Using the colours I then did a wash over the rest of the shimmer paper. I finished off the card using matting and the Quilt embossing folder.

More Brusho powders

The left hand card I cased from Leonie Schroder, another SU demo in NSW.
I watched her tutorial and loved what she did with the Brusho powders and embossing folders.

Sprinkle a variety of colours of the powders onto the embossing folder, place a piece of watercolour paper in the EF and wind through the Big shot. Then Spritz water over the piece of paper soaking it so that the powders can mix and disperse. Dab any excess water off with paper towel and dry using the heat tool. When dry, using a dauber and the Whisper White inkpad daub over the raised embossed cardstock to mute the colours a little. Layer and finish of your card.

Brusho Powders

I played with the Brusho powders today.
I used a variety of cardstocks, watercolour paper, glossy cardstock, shimmery white cardstock and dazzling diamond shimmer cardstock.
I found the shimmer paper easiest to use.

The butterfly card I sprinkled some powders into and artist's palette. I then used an Aqua painter to wet the individual powders and apply the wash to the shimmer cardstock. I stamped the greeting in Black Memento ink and cut out 2 butterfly thinlets using the Big shot to attach to the card front.

The Happy Birthday card I cut a piece of dazzling diamond glimmer paper the same size as a card front (10.5cm x 14.8cm). I then sprinkled 3 of the Brusho powders onto the glimmer paper, spritzed the paper with water thoroughly, dabbed any excess water off with paper towel. I then cut out a piece of whisper white cardstock the size of the card front and using the Big shot and the floral thinlits cut it out and attached it to the glimmer paper. I then cut out the happy birthday Thinlit in Night of Navy and attached it to the card front, attaching the finished card front to the base of thick whisper white card.
