Thank you Gifts

Yesterday was the last day I worked with my co-worker as she's moving back to Victoria at the end of June.
I decorated a notebook and card with retired stamps and DSP and a foreign stamp, the typewriter was so appropriate. I also gave her a beautiful candle from Vintage Ambience and some special things from Pandora. I have worked with her for 3 years and I will miss her so much. Working in a small medical practice you have to work well together and we did, she is the best co-worker I've ever had. I can see some trips to Victoria on the agenda.

Lovely as a Tree

Another split negative card using Lovely as a Tree.
I've used a piece of Soft Suede cardstock embossed with "Decorative Dots" EF which is retiring. I've also used a pice of Chocolate Chip 1/4 gross grain ribbons (R) to finish off this card.

Lovely as a Tree - Split Negative Technique

Using more scraps off my desk.
Lovely as a Tree is going to be carried over into the new catalogue :) such a useful set for many occasions.
In my scrap box I found a piece of cardstock that I had embossed with ink pad and an embossing folder which gave this card some texture.
If you'd like to know how to do this technique I'm running a class on Saturday 14th May 2pm.
Cost $15 for 2 cards.

Split Negative Technique

One of my samples laying around on my desk when I was playing with the "Split Negative" technique. Here I used the Beautifully Baroque Stsmp (R).

Papillion Potpouri

I spent yesterday trying to clear my desk of unfinished cards and scraps.
For this card I used a scrap of the "Polished Stone" technique together with the butterflies from Papillion Potpouri stamp set. The greeting is from "Petite Pairs" stamp set, which is soon to be retiring along with the oval and scallop oval punches.
