Card day with friends

I get together with some friends every month and we each take a turn at hosting the card day.

These are 2 of the cards we made yesterday. The other card I've already given to a friend for her birthday.

It's always fun to use other products and try different techniques. I love both of these cards and I learnt more on her to blend with Blendabilities.

50th Wedding Anniversary Card

I had an elderly patient at work ask me if I'd make him a 50th Wedding Anniversary card for his wife.

The only prerequisite was "not too lovey" :)

I made a "Z" fold card using Apothecary Art and Memorable Moments stamp sets.

I also used the beautiful "Something Borrowed" DSP from the Occassional Catalogue.

With a little heat embossing, sponging, colouring with SU markers and adding some crochet ribbon and a sparkly belt buckle I think the card has come together nicely and hopefully is "not too lovey".

Building Block Card - Love is Kind

 

I had some kits left over from classes last year so I made them up but used a new stamp from the Occasional Catty - Love is Kind This is a tricky fancy fold card but looks great once it's made.
