It is definitely a "Work-in-Progress".

Need for Speed - 21st Birthday card

I made this card for a work colleague's son's 21st.
He is a marine mechanic so Need for Speed immediately came to mind.
I kind of used the "Freshly Made Sketches" sketch from last week as the design layout.
I swiped "Pool Party" inkpad over Very Vanilla cardstock for the background.
Added a strip of Soft Suede card with a smaller strip of "Comfort Cafe" DSP.
Stamped the speed boat on Pool Party card with Midnight Muse ink.
Added the Jumbo eyelets and some baker's twine, and popped the boat on dimentionals.
Really liked how this card turned out.

All products are SU:
Cardstock: Midnight Muse, Softe Suede, Very Vanilla, Pool Party, "Comfort Cafe" DSP.
Inks: Midnight Muse, Pool Party.
Stamp sets: Need for Speed, Sincere Salutations (retired)
Accessories: Early Espresso Baker's Twine, Jumbo eyelets (retired),
Timeless Type Alphabet Sizzlit die (retired),  2 1/2" circle punch.

Heartfelt - Stampin' Event - Sydney

I'm looking forward to attending the
Heartfelt - Stampin' Event in Sydney this Saturday.
It was suggested that we make our own name badge to wear -
giving the opportunity to share your creative talent with other attendees!
Well, this is my attempt at a "name badge"!
It is clean and simple (bit like me! :)
I haven't had a lot of time lately to play in my craft room, so this
is the best I can come up with.
I've used 2 of my favourite colours, Midnight Muse and Marina Mist.
Daydream Medallions stamp set and the
Framelits - Floral Frames.
Some Midnight Muse Satin stitched ribbon
and some rhinestones for a bit of bling!
I'm sure there will be some outstanding creations which will put my feeble attempt to shame.
Oh well, I had fun making it :)

Birthday Card Selection

Another card in Olivia's birthday collection.
I just love this design sketch and will have to replicate it!
Margaret has used beautiful colours with the white and contrasting Rich Razzleberry.
I love the use of the Oval embossing folder,
punching it out making it a window frame.

The Nappy Fold card, is the one Matt selected out of my card box for his sister.

Sunny Fun - Trifold Card

This fun, colourful card was from my sister, Narelle
to Olivia for her birthday a couple of weeks ago.
Livy loves her thongs in summer time so this retired
stamp set was most appropriate.
Love the bright colours, also very appropriate for Olivia.
Great card, thanks Aunty Relle. :)

Memorable Moments

I was asked by a work colleague to make her
daughter's 18th Birthday card.
I was told she loves flowers, especially frangipanis.
I don't have a frangipani stamp (I know, you are probably shocked!!!)
I did however have some lovely frangipani paper left over from
when I pulled my wedding album apart and scrapbooked our wedding
photos into a lovely new album.
I used the sketch design from "The Friday Mashup" for this week.
I promised myself at the beginning of the year that I would do more
sketch designs,  I think I've done 3!!!!
I am going to try and continue to use Sketch Designs
as they really help me with my creativity.
Olivia liked this card when she came into my craft room and told me to give it to her!!!
Perhaps I'll keep that in mind for 3 years time. :)

Creative Elements - Elegant Design

This design I CASEd from Felicity (her blog appears on my sidebar)
I love this sketch so much and it looks so effective in different colours.
I've used retired DSP from Sale-a-Bration 2012.
Embossed some cardstock layered it to the base of the card.
I've used the Vintage Lace ribbon, love this ribbon for the vintage, antique look.
Flowering Flourishes - a new stamp set on the Baja Breeze card and
Creative Elements on the Confetti Cream (retired) card stock.

November Christmas Project Class

We will be making one card and 2 boxes.
Perfect for those teacher gifts or work colleague gifts.

The card is quite detailed.
Embossing, patchwork, it looks very effective.

The first little gift box is made using one of the Kraft boxes
from the SU Catalogue.
Decorated with DSP, embossed cardstock and stamped images.
You could put Cadbury favourites, homemade biscuits,
or any kind of sweets, or even soaps or small bathbombs.

The last item is a small Pizza Box.
I cased part of this idea from Melissa Davies
(Melissa's blog can be found on my side panel).
I changed it around a bit and actually made it a
pizza box (cased this idea from my friend Julie).
This little box can hold a small box of Guylian (shell) chocolates
or homemade chocolates or biscuits.

When: Friday 16th November
Time: 7.30pm -10.00pm
Cost: $30 (cash).
Bookings essentials, limit of 8 for the class.
