Crafting with Friends

Always enjoy a day crafting with friends and
last Thursday we got together and made
such great cards and shared good ideas.
The first card we used a retired SU stamp set,
I don't even know the name as it was before my SU days,
and don't you love the way we made the vase!
The next card there was some embossing, border punching
a little reindeer die and of course the SU scallop envelope die.
Just love the white on white with Old Olive separating it.
The 3rd card we used the retired "Tree Trimmings" set
some retired DSP and ribbon.
Just love this design layout too.
And finally a cool little treat holder that you
can make in minutes and is perfect for place setting
treats or party favours.

Don't you just love opening up a new Versa mark ink pad???
It always amazes me when I do as I don't
realise how "yucky" my versa mark ink pads get.

October Stamp-a-Stack

These are the cards we will be making in the October SAS.
We will be using the "Joyous Celebrations" stamp set
and the Holiday Flurry EF for 3 of the cards.
You can't see very well in the photo but I've daubered
Frost White Shimmer paint over the embossed card
and it has a real irradescent look.
You can do any combination that you like with this
stamp set, it is quite versatile.
The  second set of 3 cards are made using
the Lacy Brocade EF and the Mixed Bunch stamp set.
Gold embossing powder on the very lacy flower.
If' you'd like to come along to one of the SAS plese send me
an email to secure your place.
Friday 12th October 7.30-10.00pm
Saturday 13th October 2.00-4.30pm

Mixed Bunch and Lacy Brocade - Xmas Card

The new Core'dinations Cardstock from the Holiday Catalogue.
I've run the Cherry Cobbler Core'dinations card through the "Lacy Brocade" EF.
Then I sanded it to reveal the inner core!
The Mixed Bunch flower has been stamped in versamark
and embossed with Gold embossing powder.
I've also used the xmas greeting from the "Petit Pairs" stamp set.
Love playing with my new "stuff".

Northern Flurry & Snow Swirled

With the new catalogue out, I have so much new
"stuff" to play with, time is always an issue
in my life though!!!
I love embossing folders, this is the "Northern Flurry" EF
I've stamped the Christmas Tree and greeting from "Snow Swirled".
Trimmed with Scallop Trim Border punch.
Blinged with some rhinestones and the new Vintage faceted buttons and
a flower form the Boho Blossum pumch.
Pretty simple card but I quite like it's simplicity.

DSP sample booklet

This is my 6"x 6" DSP Sample booklet.
I've divided each pack of DSPapers
with a piece of black cardstock.
On the divider pages I've punched out the
co-ordinating colours that go with
each pack of DSP.
It's a great way to display all the lovely DSPapers
in the new catalogue.

Cards for Lovely Ladies

Here are a couple of cards for some lovely ladies
who had birthdays this week.
They were members of my first stamp club,
they are now my downlines.
The above card is the "Red Hot Society"
a bit of fun for a fun lady.
The second card of happy flowers.
With some dazzling diamonds,
it makes the flowers "pop".
I went to my old "stash" of stamps to create
these cards as they both own so much SU products
I wanted to create something they wouldn't recognise.

Stampin' Up Catalogue Launch Projects

These are the projects we made at the catalogue launch
on Saturday night.

We made this card using the new "Betsy Blossoms" stamp set,
new "Floral District" DSP,
new In Colour "Midnight Muse"
new 1/4" Daffodil Delight grosgrain ribbon.

This little chocolate wallet is so simple to make.
We used the "scallop square" die and the "Elegant Bouquet EF"
with the big shot.
New "Floral District" DSP and
the lovely 5/8" Organza Ribbon that has been carried over to the new catalogue.

The last project we made was a beautiful "Paper Bow"
using the new christmas "Be of Good Cheer" DSP.

All projects were a great success and everyone had a fun night with lucky door prizes, coffee and cake and a happy evening crafting with friends.

Memorable Moments

"Memorable Moments" is another new stamp set in the new catalogue.
I've used Island Indigo as the card base.
I've embossed the Whisper White card stock with the Perfect Polka Dot EF
then using a sponging block I've just rubbed some Island Indigo ink
over the polka dots.
I glued some new "Summer Smooches" DSP to some white cardstock
and cut out using the Framelits.
I have stamped the images in Island Indigo and Lucky Limeade and
cut out using the Framelits again.
Adhered to the polka dot card and used dimentions for the
stamped image.

I've been playing with some of the new products in the catalouge.
This was a make and take from convention 2012.

Elegant butterfly punch one of the new punches in the catalogue.
Gorgeous vintage facet designer buttons, think I'll be buying a lot of these
(and I'm not really into buttons):
