February Stamp-a-Stack Male Cards

The first SAS for 2012 is Male cards. I'm sure we are all challenged at times to make male cards. SU have a couple of great stamp sets perfect for these cards. "Need for Speed" and "The Open Sea". We will be making 8 cards, 4 of each design including envelopes. Cost is $20.
If you'd like to book in for this SAS please email me at denisemaccabe@gmail.com to reserve your place. Friday 17th February at 7.30pm.

First Stamp Club for 2012

Candles stamping and a Valentines Day card were the Stamp Club projects for our first meeting.
My butterfly candle needs a bit more tweeking so I will continue to play with that.
The card is a very simple "no layer" card using a stamp set from the Summer Mini "You are Loved". We coloured the flower image using SU markers and used the "thumping" technique to get the deeper colour in the flowers.

All products SU:
Stamp sets: You are Loved, Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Upsy Daisy, Strength & Hope (R)
Inks: SU markers, Concord Crush
Cardstock: Confetti White, Pretty in Pink
Accessories: Candles, Pearls, Word Window & Modern Label punch.

Creative Elements - 21st Card

I've used the "Creative Elements" stamp set as the main feature of this 21st birthday card. A simple card as there is no layering at all, just stamping straight on to the card. The flower has been stamped with Cherry Cobbler reinker drops and Champagne Shimmer Paint mixed with a dauber then applied to the stamp, then cut out and attached to the card with dimentionals.

SU products used:
Cardstock: Confetti Cream, Cherry Cobbler.
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler.
Stamp sets: Creative Elements, Established Elegance, Well Scripted (retired).
Accessories: Big Shot, Alphabet dies, Champagne Shimmer Paint, dauber, Basic Pearls.

"Your are Loved" - Stamping on Candles

"You are Loved" is a stamp set in the new Summer Mini Catalogue. I CASEd the above card from Belinda Hennesey but changed a few things. The heart has been coloured with SU markers. I've used some felt flowers that are now retired. Love the way this card came together.

I've used the same stamp set and stamped on this candle. Stamping on candles is a really "cool" technique. I will run a class in the next few months to show you how to do this.
The candle and card are an engagement gift for a friend at work. Jodie is a beautiful person and derserves all the happiness. I hope she likes her card and gift.

Need for Speed

One of the first movies I saw Tom Cruise in was "Top Gun" so this stamp set reminds me of Top Gun and Tom Cruise saying.... "I feel the need....the need for speed" in his fighter jet. The card above I CASED off Splitcoaststampers. The background is scored using a scoring blade & paper trimmer to give the effect of an embossing folder (a really neat idea, one I hadn't thought of). The clouds have been sponged using a scallop circle punch out as a masking template. The jet was watercoloured then cut out and attached with a dimentional. A little strip of cardstock with "Square Lattice" embossing folder.
SU products:
Cardstock: NQNavy, Marina Mist, Whisper White.
Inks: Black Stazon, Marina Mist, NQNavy.
Stamp sets: Need for Speed, Sincere Salutations.

"Off The Page" Christmas Wooden Scrap Album

Before Christmas Narelle and I had a play using the "Letters to Santa" DSP to make this lovely "off the page" wooden album. The larger patterns on the DSP worked perfectly for this project.

The only other products used were the new Glimmer Papers from the Summer Mini, Rhinestones, dazzling diamonds, glass glitter and ribbons.

The whole album is made from the DSP.

"Off the Page" Christmas Scrapbook Wooden Album.
I have kits for the "Off the Page Christmas Album" available.
Kits with full instructions and supplies are available for $45.
or you can buy the album completed for $60.
This is a lovely way to scrap your 2011 Christmas photos.

Happy New Year - Brother's Birthday Card

This is the card I have made for my brother's birthday. My creativeness is MIA at the moment and I have all these new stamps sets to play with that I didn't get time to play with before Xmas. So I have CASED this card from Splitcoaststampers by Pam Kerschner.
Ian has always been a keen water sports person with sailing boats, power boats and jet skis. He lives on the Gold Coast (perfect location for the boating enthusiast). How good does the torn card stock look giving the effect of the ocean and swell. I have put a little bit of dazzling diamonds on some of the swells giving the look of the sun glistening on the water. Olivia and I are going to the Gold Coast next week for 5 days to visit Ian and family, we are so looking forward to it as we missed out on our holiday over Xmas. Bring on the sun, waves, shopping, perhaps a movie and some fun days with my girl.

All SU products used:
Card stock: Not quite Navy, Marina Mist, Whisper White.
Stamp sets: Need for Speed, Bring on the Cake, Open Sea.
Inks: Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: Baker's twine, glue stick, dazzling diamonds.
