Christmas Tags & Stitched Stockings

I've used "Stitched Stockings" stamp set for the Side-step card. This stamp set is in the latest Summer Mini catalogue with a matching punch. SU has advised that the Stockings punch will not be carried over into the next big catalogue. So if you are wanting to order this set and have the punch to match then it will only be available till 31st March.
The Christmas Tags I've used the Two Tags die, Decorative Label punch and "Merry & Type" stamp set together with some retired DSP. The tags were an idea from the SU newsletter "Impressions".

Christmas Gifts

Another litte gift idea from my friend Janine (thank you). I've used the scallop square die, "Letters to Santa" DSP. Scored and folded make a perfect little case for some Ferrero Rocher chocies. We made this little gift at our last stamp club night for 2011.

Christmas Triangle Gifts

These are some cute little gifts that I made up for my stamp club ladies and work colleagues. I got the idea from my friend Janine (thank you). I've used retired DSP. The pieces of DSP have also been run through the crimper. A hole in each corner with some ribbon threaded through to pull together to make these little triangles. Inside were some chocolates to enjoy.

Thinking of You

It's always lovely to receive a handmade card in the mail. I received this card from Felicity prior to Christmas. Felicity has used the "Elizabeth" a la carte stamp which is a beautiful flourish. Vintage Wallpaper and Designer Frames embossing folders, some pearls and Bashful Blue ribbon. Thank you for such a lovely card.

More Cupcakes

This card I made for my sister's birthday back in November. The image is not SU, just one I had in my stash. Cardstock, square lattice emobssing folder and the antique brad are SU. I've stamped the image and clear embossed it on watercolour paper. I've then colour the cupcake using an aqua painter and ink pads.

Crazy for Cupcakes

This is a centre-step-card I made for a work colleage to give to her niece who was turning 16. She was having a "tea party" birthday theme. "Crazy for Cupcakes" is a set I don't actually own, I stamped off a number of images from my sister. I do love the tiered cupcakes though. I've also used "Bring on the Cake", "Sincere Salutations" and some retired DSP.

Male Cards

"Trendy Trees", a retirement card that Mark gave to a work colleague.

Not SU product but a card most suited to the person who received it. Andy, one of my work colleagues, drives the patient transport bus and picks up elderly patients and brings them into their medical appointments. His job is challenging some of the time but Andy really is a "top bloke".

"Lovely as a Tree" and some retired DSP. Just a nice masculine card.

"Lovely as a Tree" bleached technique. A "thank you" card for Matthew's English tutor who assisted Matthew to obtain the HSC results that he was wanting to achieve.

"Trendy Trees", retired DSP and "Well Scripted" stamp set. This was my Dad's birthday card back in November. Trendy Trees is a set I don't use that much so I thought I'd ink it up for my Dad's card.

More Christmas Cards to Share

Fine Flourish and Ornament punch from Margaret.

Stitched Stockings from Lorraine.

Snow Swirled from Felicity.

Holiday Lineup from Jan - my downline.

"Welcome Christmas" from Narelle, my sister and downline.

More beautiful cards, thank you.

Some Xmas Cards

I haven't been doing a lot of blogging leading up to Christmas. 2011 has been a year with a lot of stresses in my personal life and it is a year I will be very glad to say good bye to. I had been thinking about giving away my stamping as I was finding it more of a chore than enjoyment. There is so much I want to get done in my own scrapbooking etc that I never seem to get time to do. My family has convinced me to keep going for the time being, so I will. I may tone it down somewhat for the year ahead. Whilst I'm trying to get my head back on track I'd like to share with you some handmade cards I received this Christmas.

This beautiful Easel card from Julie. I love the antique looking paper Julie's used.

Dasher from Gemma.

Festive Candles from Beryl.

Tree Trimmings from Janine.

Beautiful cards, thank you.

Wonderful Card

I made this card for Olivia, who did really well at school this year too.
She received Merit Awards in 3 subjects, Sports Awards and an Outstanding Achievement Award for Leadership as a Dance Captain in Rock Eisteddfod. She also received a really "wonderful" report too.
We are so proud of you Livy. Have confidence in yourself and you will achieve amazing things.

HSC - Well Done - Congratulations Card

This it the card I made for Matt, to Congratulate him on attaining wonderful HSC marks and ATAR. Now we await the University offer for him to go to Uni at Newcastle to do PE teaching.
Well Done Matty, we are so proud of you.

Year 12 Formal Photos

Good times, great memories, fabulous night, lots of photos.

"Oh the Places You'll Go"!!!

Hotrod Card

Matt's Year 12 Formal was such a fantastic night. Mark arranged for him to go to the formal in a mates Hotrod. Friends went in stretch hummers, limos, a couple of vintage cars, the Ourimbah RSL Courtesy Bus was also used by some of Matt's mates! Matt was very happy with his Hotrod as you can tell by his face.

To thank Mark's friends, Steve and Julie, I made this card using "Loads of Love" stamp set. I covered the little Ute with Crystal Effects to give it a glossy shine but you can't see this in the photo. Matt had a great night, memories made, fun had and lots of photos to look back on. Mark and I really enjoyed the evening as well. I will post a few more photos in the next post.

(I apologise for the lack of blogging lately. Life has been a bit crazy, with so many different things going on. I hope to be back updating my blog more frequently now.)
