The above projects are the ones I will be demonstrating at my sister, Narelle's "Canberra Extravaganza" day on the 23rd July. A nice simple card using "Artistic Etchings" and "Newsprint" DSP. The little "Top Note Handbag" is so cute. I've embossed 2 of the top notes with "Petals-a-Plenty" folder and have used the 5 petal punch to decorate the fastening of the handbag. The 3 little notecards just have two 5 petal punch flowers and a simple little greeting.

Fancy Fold Cards Class - July
Well here are all 3 of my "Fancy Fold" cards. I will be running a class at the end of July and we will be making these 3 cards. They look really effective and are not that hard to make (obviously because I have managed to do so!!!!). They are in my newest favourite colour scheme. I will be sending my July newsletter out soon and I will have the class listed in the newsletter.
Triangle Trifold Card
This is a quick trifold card with a twist! Once again I have used the same colour theme as the other "Fancy Fold" cards. Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla Cardstock. Elegant Soiree DSP. "Just Believe" stamp set. I have coloured the flowers using markers this time but stamped the words in Soft Suede. Some Very Vanilla 1/4" grosgrain ribbon to tie the card together and few little Perfect pearls to finish it off.

Bonnie's Cupcake Box
This is my "Bonnie Box". Bonnie Thurber from the States also demonstrated how to make a "Bonnie Box". This little box has been made using 4 "Scallop Envelope" dies. Dressed up with a little bit of DSP and ribbon. It holds a cupcake perfectly and would be a great idea for kids birthday parties for each guests cupcake. I can't retake this photo as the cupcake has somehow disappeared. Fancy that!!!
Colour Chart
At Convention one of the presenters "Bonnie Thurber" from the States did a wonderful presentation on main stage. She is such a funny lady. This "Colour Chart" was one of the items she showed. Over the June longweekend my sister and I recreated it. (What else could you do on the Central Coast when the rain was bucketing down!).
We used a "Foldout Scrapbook Page" design and then punched out samples of each of the colours in the Stampin' Up colour families - Brights, Neutrals, Regals and Subtles. On the front cover we displayed the current "In" colours which will still be with us for another 12 months. We have left room for the 5 new "In" colours which will be launched with the new catalogue in September. It is an easy way to see exactly what all the cardstock looks like and works well with the Colour Coach which provides ideas for mixing and matching the various colours.

Birthday gifts and card
This was my gift from Felicity. She has used "Elegant Soiree" DSP (my new favourite, absolutely love it). Felicity made a gorgeous chocolate wrapper with the DSP, she used the stamp set from SAB "Punch Bunch" for the chocolate wrapper and the card. In the beautiful photo frame, Felicity has used "Elegant Soiree DSP" and stamp set "Always" and the "Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Sizzlit Dies". The photo is of Olivia and myself at Gemma's wedding, it is a really lovely photo (I don't often say that, especially when I'm in the photo and my family are shocked that I actually think it is a lovely photo!!) It has captured a moment in time with my little girl (not so little anymore) on a lovely occasion at a friend's wedding. Thank you Felicity. How nice is it to have 2 such lovely friends in Gemma and Felcity. :-)
Birthday Presents & Cards
During the week I had lunch with my friends Gemma and Felicity. It was a catch up to talk about Convention, show swaps and cards we had made. A lovely surprise for me was that I received 2 birthday presents. This one was from Gemma, using "Artistic Etchings" (a favourite of mine) and "Notably Ornate" stamp sets and "Love Letter" DSP (one of my favourites also). Gemma made the box to fit the yummy Lindor Chocies. Just love receiving pressies especially when they are handmade by talented people.

Centre Step Card
I have had a lovely day playing in my craft room. I am fixated with "Fancy Fold" cards at the moment. This card is called a "Centre-Step" Card. With a few clever cuts and scores it ends up looking like this. I used the "Elegant Soiree" DSP (just love it), the "Just Believe" and "Bring on the Cake" stamp set. Perfect Pearls to give the card a bit more elegance. I really like how it turned out. I have made some other "Fancy Fold" cards and will share them soon.

Beautiful Birthday Cards
My sister, Narelle, made the above beautiful tri-fold card using "Fifth Ave Floral" stampset. This is a stamp set that I have wanted for so long but always put off buying for some reason. The stampset and the DSP Elegant Bouquet were my pressie with the beautiful card.

Vintage Wallpaper
This is a card I made for my niece, Emma. She has just finished her nursing course and starts at a new job in a private hospital in the orthopedic ward in the next couple of weeks. We are so proud of her. I made this card to congratulate her on her achievements. The original idea was cased from Alisa Tilsner who was published in Cardmaking Stamping and Papercrafts magazine a few months ago. Dry embossing was used on an embossing folder then run through the Big Shot, trimmed with a few circle punches that have been distressed a pearl and some satin ribbon. Then "Perfect Punches" stamp set and the Modern Label punch.

Pocket Silhouettes Stamp-a-Stack
These are the cards we will be making at this month's Stamp-a-Stack. I originally got the idea from Marelle Taylor but I have changed the designs around a bit. We will be using Pocket Silhouettes and Vintage Vogue stamp sets. If you'd like to do this SAS then email me at denisemaccabe@gmail.com so I can put your name down.

Bleaching Technique Class
These are the 2 cards we will be making at the "Bleaching Class" this Friday, 3rd June at 7.30pm. I still have 3 places available if anyone is interested, just email me at denisemaccabe@gmail.com so that I can send you the details and have enough packs prepared for the evening. Cost of the class is $15 (cash).
The first card I have CASEd from Melissa Davies, you can check out Melissa's blog from the side panel of my blog. I have used the leaf out of the stamp set 'Lovely as a Tree' stamped it in versamark then heat embossed it using black embossing powder. Then with my aqua painter filled with bleach I have carefully coloured parts of the leaves to remove the colour of the cardstock. The Birthday Greeting is from the set 'Bring on the Cake" which I got for FREE from my Sale-a-bration sales.
