Narelle's Christmas Wreath

This was an advent wreath that my sister, Narelle made, (she is my very first downline!)

It was in one of the CSP Magazines recently by Marelle Taylor.

Narelle saw it and decided to have a go at making it.

The little envelopes were made using the "scallop envelope" die through the Big Shot, one of the small circle punches was used as a backing for the numbers.

Inside the envelopes at the back a "sweet treat cup" was inserted,

inside the sweet treat cup, rub ons or stamped images were placed.

A Christmas message was stamped on the opening inside flap of the envelope.

Inside the "sweet treat cup" was of course a sweet treat.

The envelopes were tied with 1/8" taffeta ribbon and some 1 1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon was used around the wreath for further decoration.

The envelopes were attached to the wreath using a hot glue gun.

The wreath looked splendid.
Narelle brought it up from Canberra with her to share the treats with us.
We had to eat all the treats in one go on Christmas Eve.

How lucky am I to have such a creative downline and sister.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Merry Christmas from my friend Felicity

A handbag with chocolates - how lucky am I!

This beautiful hanging Christmas ornament in a box.
How gorgeous is it.
I will have to get Felicity to show me how to do this one.

Thank you Felicity for my beautiful gifts.
I am extremely spoilt and lucky.

Christmas Gifts - I am spoilt

This is a "chocolate and coffee stick" box I received this morning from my friend Gemma.
How lucky am I.
Don't you just love the "bow", I will have to learn how to do this myself.
Merry Christmas...Gemma.

My daughter - Olivia's Christmas Card

This the card I have made for my daughter, Olivia, for Christmas.
I have used "Snow Swirled" stamp set and done a blit of "blinging" using Dazzling Diamonds.
Livy has also had a very successful year this year. It was her first year at High School and she received the most wonderful report. She was moved up in to "A" stream in the second half of the year. She changed Dance Studios at the end of Term 1 and is really enjoying her new Dance school. She had a focal part in her Classical Ballet dance in her end of year concerts. She qualified for NSW Country Championships in both Long Course and Short Course for swimming.
I am so proud of her, she is growing into a beautiful young lady.

My kid's Christmas Cards

This is my son Matt's Christmas card. I made a waterfall card for him using "Delightful Decorations" and "Seaons of Joy" stamp sets.
Matt has completed Year 11 and started his Year 12 work. He had a hugely successful year, he came 1st in the year in Industrial Design-Timber, 3rd in Maths and 4th in Modern History. He was made a Senior Prefect. He had huge succes with his swimming this year, at school he got through Zone, Sydney North, CHS (where he medaled in the 100m Backstroke) and then to All Schools.
Outside of school he made Age Nationals and also Open Nationals, he had a week in Brisbane in July swimming with all the top swimmers and really enjoyed this experience.
As you can see I am one very proud Mum.

Merry Christmas to All

I have been so busy I haven't had time to do much blogging of late.
I just wanted to share the cards I made for my family, being my Mum and Dad, my sister and her husband and my brother and his wife and family.

The colours don't show up as nice as they are in real life. I used Marina Mist, Real Red, Pear Pizzaz and Whisper White. It is quite an easy card to make and looks really effective. The stamp sets I used were "Delightful Decorations" and "Many Merry Messages".
I'll be back tomorrow to show you the cards I made for my kids, Matt and Olivia.

Cardmaking Stamping & Papercraft Magazine

I am so excited, I have been published!!! I received my CSP magazine in the mail the other day and when I opened it up something fell out of the magazine and I saw the "Readers' Gallery" item.

I thought to myself, "that card looks like one I created, someone has copied my card". Then I looked up at the list of names and there was MY NAME! What a shock. So here is my bragging moment. A picture of the page of the magazine and a picture with my card on top of the cover of the magazine. It is the TIps & Techniques issue, keep your eye out for it.
