12 Weeks of Christmas - Week 10
"A Wish for Peace"
This is a lovely stamp set and the sentiment is what Christmas is all about. I cased this card from Marelle Taylor http://www.marelletaylor.com/(thanks Marelle, just love your work).
Supplies Used:
Cardstock: Always Artichoke and Whisper White
Inks: Always Artichoke and Handsome Hunter Stampin' Up marker.
Stamp sets: A Wish for Peace.
Accessories: 2-way Glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Eyelet Border punch.
Notes: Use Eyelet Border punch along the bottom edge of white cardstock. Ink stamp with Always Artichoke ink pad then colour larger tree in the foreground with Handsome Hunter marker. Huff (with your breath) on the stamp and stamp the image onto the white card. Stamp the greeting from the same set in Handsome Hunter ink. Using 2-way glue pen apply glue to the base of the trees then apply Dazzling Diamonds. Layer stamped image onto Always Artichoke A5 card.
Summer Mini Catalogue 09-10 - Chocolate Bunny
This is the second card we made at the Launch night. "Chocolate Bunny" is a single stamp in the new Summer Mini Catalogue for $13.95. It is a great stamp for Easter cards (which will be here before we know it!) This bunny reminds me of the Cadbury bunny. I can't wait to play with it more with gold embossing powder on "Elegant Eggplant" or "Perfect Plum." The stepped up version on the right was created by using Versamark ink on the Chocolate chip cardstock, then Chocolate chip ink on the Summer Sun cardstock, a couple of brads, twill tape and you have a more detailed bunny.
Summer Mini Catalogue 09/10 - Butterfly Prints
I had my Summer Mini Catalogue Open House/Launch yesterday. Here are some cards that I made from the "Butterfly Prints" stamp set $25.95 with the new Butterfly punch $30.95. The one on the left is what we made at the launch and the one beside it is a stepped up version of the same card. I love the Butterfly punch you can create some wonderful 3D images/cards with it. The punch also matches the "Flight of the Butterfly" stamp set in the main catalogue. In the stepped up version of the card I added some "Bashful Blue 1/2" striped grosgrain ribbon and some felt flowers from "Flower Fusion Too" and a designer brad along with some Dazzling Diamonds on the outside edge of the butterfly wings. Just love a bit of bling!

Gingerbread House
I went to the Lakes Church at Berkeley Vale last Friday night and had a great night with 300 other ladies making a Gingerbread House. It was so much fun building the house and then decorating it. I hope it stands the test of time (or the heat that we are having) and can be a beautiful centre piece on my table on Christmas Day. Thanks Julie for inviting me.
My Dad's 80th Birthday Card
This is the card I have made for my Dad's 80th Birthday. I have used the "Blooms Away" stamp set and the "Weathered" background stamp. I coloured the banksia with Stampin' Up markers and stamped the image on to watercolour paper. I then stamped the "weathered" background stamp on the 3 different pieces of cardstock, attached 3 black brads and layered them onto black A5 card. I layered the banksia image on to black card and mounted it on to the card with stampin' dimentionals. I used the word window punch for "happy birthday" and attached it to large oval punched cardstock. I inked the number 80 with chocolate chip ink. Happy Birthday Pa I hope you have a great day.
Friends 24-7
This card I have made for a great friend for her birthday. We have been friends for 10 years, we have worked together and been there for each other. My friend Kate is one of the bravest people I know. She had bone cancer when she was 16 and had her left leg amputated. She got on with her life, got married, has 2 great children and only last year she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She faced this new battle with such bravery and courage and has come out the other side, she has finished her treatment and is looking towards the future once again. To my wonderful, brave friend Kate, I hope you like your birthday card.

12 Weeks of Christmas - Week 7
Supplies Used:
Cardstock: Whisper White A5 card
Inks: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Stampin' Up Markers- Always Artichoke and Chocolate Chip, Brocade Blue, Creamy Caramel.S
Stamp sets: Lovely as a Tree and Best Yet (Hostess set)
Accessories: Sponges
Notes: This is a great no layer card. I've used the "Reverse Masking" technique where you cut out a frame from scrap paper and work within that area instead of around it as you would with normal masking. Ink the tree stamp with "Old Olive" and stamp the image within the masking frame 3 times at varying levels without reinking the stamp. Still working with the masking frame, use a sponge to sponge the ground area with "Creamy Caramel" and the sky area with "Brocade Blue", carefully remove the mask. Colour your tree stamp with your marker pens using "Chocolate Chip" for the tree trunk and then "Always Artichoke" for the branches, huff with your breath on the stamp to moisten it and stamp the tree image to one side of the masked area (making this tree image appear to be in the foreground). Stamp your Christmas greeting in "Chocolate Chip" ink.

A Moving Experience
This card I made for my parents who have just moved into a Retirement Village this weekend. It has been a huge weekend (and 8 weeks leading up to the move).
I used the Jumbo "Neighbourhood" wheel, "Loads of Love" and "Loads of Love Accessories" stamp sets. I coloured in the "Neighbourhood" and the little truck and furniture with blender pens and ink pads and the Stampin' Pastels. I think it is a cute little card.

Sympathy Cards
I had the need to make a sympathy card recently. I had never made a sympathy card before. These were the 2 cards that I made. A lovely old lady that I met through working at the Cardiologist's passed away. She was a beautiful lady who was so interested in my family, particularly Olivia with her ballet. In her day, Mrs Spackman used to play the piano for ballet exams, recitals and performances. It is always sad when someone passes on, even if they are elderly and in poor health. I chose to send the "Peace" card.

"Close to my Heart" Sids & Kids Fundraiser
We (my team of fellow Stampin' Up demonstrators, front row: Jacinda,Kristen, Erin, Nicole back row: me, Alex & Liz) held our "Close to my Heart" Sids and Kids Fundraiser last night. It was a huge success, I'm sure everyone who attended enjoyed themselves. There were auctions of many items including Stampin Up products which Stampin Up had generously donated. There were raffles, guessing competitions, lovely supper and coffee to be enjoyed. Erin and Jacinda talked about Sids and Kids and their tragic experience of stillbirth (2 very brave ladies). Official count not yet done but unofficially we raised over $3000 to be donated to Sids and Kids.

Lovely Oak Tree
Here is another card using "Lovely as a Tree" stamp set. This one is a little complex but the end result is lovely. I used the Old Oak tree from the stamp set, inked the trunk with "Chocolate Chip" and the tree branches with "Old Olive" I then used markers, "Always Artichoke and Handsome Hunter" to give the tree branches a little more colour. Once the imaged was stamped I then used my blender pen and "Old Olive and Chocolate Chip" ink to fill in the trunk and the tree branches. I sponged all the card layers with Chocolate Chip. Using the Weathered background stamp I stamped the Sage Shadow card stock. A little bit of paper piercing and "voila" another beautiful card from this very versatile stamp set.

If you would like to know how to do any of the techniques used in these cards, just let me know and I can organise a class.

Polished-Stone Technique
This is a lovely technique that I "cased" from Alisa Tilsner. The Daffodil stamp is not from Stampin' Up but I was playing with it recently because it was Daffodil Day. The fern stamp is Stampin' Up and it is from the Hostess Set "Organic Grace". This is one of the techniques that I can teach in my technique classes. I have used the new "So Saffron" ribbon from the September Ribbon Bundle promotion on the fern leaf card.

"Voila" Chef
I received the "Voila" stamp set for free by doing a certain amount of sales in the months of June and July. Stampin' Up have great promotions and this promotion was extended to hostesses as well. Keep an eye out for Stampin' Ups next promotion starting on the 1st September. My little Chef is one of my latest creations, I just love him. There hasn't been a lot of creativity going on this week as my son was swimming at Homebush on Saturday and Sunday in NSW State Age Champs. He swam really well and did pb's in his 3 events which he deserved as he has put a lot of hard work and effort in to all his training. For me, it is hard to create and be at Homebush at the same time but Homebush was where I wanted to be this weekend. Hopefully I will be able to do some more creativity this week.

Stitches n' Craft Show - Rosehill Racecourse
On Saturday my daughter and I went down to the Stitches n' Craft Show at Rosehill Racecourse. We had a great day checking out all the craft stands. It was very crowded but we managed to make some good purchases and have fun. It was wonderful spending the day with my girl who is just as interested in stamping and cardmaking as I am. We stopped by the Stampin' Up stand and Olivia was able to do a "make and take". Here is Olivia's card that she made. She did such a good job with it and it took her all of 3 minutes to make. I am going to add this card into my range of Stamp-a-Stacks. Thanks Livy and the ladies on the Stampin' Up stand at the show.
Father's Day Card - "Sense of Time"
"Sense of Time" stamp set from the Spring Mini Catalogue has been getting a workout from me.
I made this card for my Dad for Father's Day.
I used "Baja Breeze" A5 card, "Parisian Breeze" Specialty D/S Paper (from the Spring Mini Catalogue), "Going Grey"and "Chocolate Chip" cardstock. I silver embossed the clock face and the quote. A little 5/8" "Baja Breeze" striped grosgrain ribbon and some silver brads to complete the card.

Lovely as a Tree
My hairdresser Lynda from "Hair to Impress" asked me to make a card for her Dad's 80th birthday. This is the card that I made. I used the "Cracked Glass Technique" on the old oak tree from the "Lovely as a Tree" stamp set. I think this card has a weathered and aged look and with some vintage brads and a bit of "chocolate chip ribbon" it looks quite masculine. The oak tree to me represents age and wisdom. Perfect for an 80th birthday card. I hope Lynda's Dad liked it!
Spring Mini Catalogue Launch Night
On 31st July 4 other demonstrators and myself had our Spring Mini Catalogue Launch night. It was a great night with loads of prizes, coffee and cakes. Everyone who attended made 3 projects with new products featured in the Spring Mini Catalogue. If you'd like to see a Spring Mini Catalogue, click on the Spring Mini Catalogue picture in the side bar of my blog or email me and I will post one out to you.

Upsy Daisy & Friends 24-7 Stamp Sets
These are 2 of my favourite stamp sets. I received them for my birthday in June. Upsy Daisy from my sister and Friends 24-7 from my Mum and Dad (they know how addicted I am to my stamping). The Upsy Daisy card I coloured with SU markers then misted the stamp with a water mister stamped image onto cardstock. I then used the SU spritzer tool to give it the "Spritzed" look. A little bit of ribbon, sponging and eyelet border punch and it has become one of my favourite cards.
